Para Dressage
Para athlete competitions are parallel to able bodied events, requiring the same level of dedication to their sport and guardianship of their equine partners.
Para Dressage became a world wide sport in the 1960's and in 2006 was officially recognised by the international governing body for equestrian sports (FEI). Para Dressage grades athletics into 5 different competition levels, based on their functional abilities.
In 1996, the Atlanta Olympics first included Para Dressage - Para Vaulting, Driving, Reining, Jumping are all currently in development.
Lisa is incredibly proud of Australian's commitment to this rapidly growing sport and is committed to working with our Para Athletes to introduce pathways from therapeutic riding to elite sport.
